Basic Military / Law Enforcement Sniper - 5 Days
Introduction: This is an intensive five day course for military and LE candidates. This course is designed for personal with minimal or no experience with a scoped weapon, it will give them a solid foundation on sniper skills to take back to their department or unit. This is a pass/fail course with a course of fire that tests marksmanship abilities under a time requirement for a Certificate of Course Completion. Students who are unable to successfully qualify will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Aim: At the end of this course the successful graduate will be able to set up their own Sniper Weapon System, zero the scope to the weapon, be able to judge the distance to a target and successfully read the winds to effectively engage the target.

Ammunition Requirements: 400rds match-grade ammunition
Gear:
- Sniper Weapon System (bolt action or semi-auto, .308 is recommended) including scope (mil-dot reticule pattern is recommended); a bipod mount for the weapon is highly recommended
- Complete weapon cleaning kit (push rod, brass jag, powder solvent, copper solvent, bore guide)
- Spotting scope with tripod (good quality scope with variable zoom settings and a reticule pattern is recommended)
- Ear and eye protection
- Back pack or equipment bag
- Calculator
- Range clothing appropriate to the season
- Rain gear
- Hydration system/water bottle
Recommended Additional Equipment:
- Sunscreen and insect repellant are recommended in summer months
- Anemometer (Kestrel 3000 or equivalent recommended)
- Sling for the weapon
- Shooting bag: bean bag, shooting glove or both
- Drag bag.
Method: This course is a combination of classroom theory, practical field applications and live fire applications.
Skill Prerequisites: Current law enforcement and active-duty military only.

Course Cost: $995 includes training, course manual, sniper data book, “Mildot Master,” and use of clipboard. Bunkhouse lodging is available at the North Carolina campus and may be reserved through your Sales Coordinator. A variety of meal options can be purchased from our on-site dining facility for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most items on the gear list may be rented via the application at additional cost or purchased at the Proshop.
