
Introduction: Advanced Highway Safety Driver Training will enhance and advance skills learned in existing Driver Education courses or through years of driving experience. The training day is 90 percent in U.S. Training Center-provided driver training vehicles using both anti-lock and non anti-lock braking systems. Skills discussed in the classroom will be applied on the track using various drills designed to have the student experience multiple weight transfers, corrective skid control measures and the use of multiple traction environments. These skills will allow the student to be able to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner on any highway worldwide.
Aim: To provide the student with the driving skills known and documented to be required during a highway driving emergency.

Practical Exercise – ABS and non-ABS:
Gear: Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions and a water bottle or other hydration system.
Method: 10% classroom instruction and 90% in vehicle training including high G maneuvers.
Skill Prerequisites: Valid driver’s license (If less than 18 years of age, the parent or guardian must be on site)
Number of attendees: 24 maximum
Duration: 1 day
