Precision Rifle II - 3 Days

 

Introduction: This course builds on the fundamentals of Precision Rifle. It expands the core elements of long range recreational shooting. The course reinforces the basics, works on unknow distance shooting and moving targets. There is also a positional shooting element at extended distances.

Aim: The course is designed ot make the shooter even more confident at long range distances in positions other than prone and on moving targets.

Method: This course is taugh using 25% classroom lecture and 75% range exercises

Prerequisite: Precision Rifle

Number of Atendees: 12 (range dependent)

Duration: 3 Days

Ammunition Requirements: 200 rounds

Gear: Suitable match grade weapon with mounted scope. Bolt action is preferred but not mandatory. Common caliber is .308 however up to .338 is fine (Smaller calibers such as .223 are not recommended due to some of the farther ranges). A bipod is recommended as is a sling.

  • Day pack: Back pack large enough to carry ammunition, notebook, and any other gear needed for the range.
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Small note book, preferably water resistant
  • Cleaning kit specific to caliber of your weapon system
  • Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions
  • Water bottle or other hydration system
  • Spotting scope and tri-pod
  • Bean bag
  • Bipod
  • Snacks
  • Bug repellent
  • Sun block

 

Cost: $595.00 includes lunch each training day. Most items on the gear list may be rented via the application at additional cost.
