Location(s): Afghanistan
Primary Purpose: Supports USG, Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI), Afghan National Police Programs to contribute the development of the National Police program. Medical Mentor SME shall work directly with the Senior OTSG Medical and Non-Medical Supplies (Class VIII) Officer. In all aspects of developing policy and strategy for the administration. Mentoring objectives shall be identified, tracked, and reported on by the Contractor. New mentoring objectives shall be included through coordination with CSTC-A and the COTR.
Essential Functions:
- Support all OSTG goals and objectives in the strategic plan
- Develop systems to establish national level planning, communication, and logistics service
- Develop systems to establish national Class VIII logistics and distribution systems
- Provide in-depth analysis of the entire medical logistics systems from unit to national level utilizing his expertise to recommend the planning, development, and implementation of a system-wide medical logistics modernization program for the ANP
- Use knowledge of US Army Health Services Support Doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures to provide guidance to the Senior OTSG Medical and Non-Medical Supplies Class VIII Officer
Job Requirements:
- For the senior medical mentor position, a Bachelors Degree is required, The Candidate will be a Senior Medical Logistician, either a former Army Medical Department Commissioned Officer or Senior AMEDD Non-Commissioned Officer (or equivalent) with at least five years experience with command/staff in a division or brigade level health services support operation.
- Must possess the ability to edit, draft and write various types of project documents, Proficiency in Microsoft Office a must. Must be able to work with minimal direction, to multi-task, meet deadlines, and set priorities in keeping with CNTPO Program standards and expectations. Must be a quick learner, adaptable, and responsible. Must have and demonstrate a strong proficiency in MS Office and Acrobat.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization (including management, peers, team members and customer-base). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Candidate must have demonstrated throughout their career a history of leadership, mentorship, and strong moral virtue.
- Must be in excellent health and be able to deploy globally to include hostile environments (Afghanistan). Work environment varies from an office setting to austere conditions. The work schedule is a 60-hour work week; in some periods, extended hours may be required.
