Mullah Sprung from Gitmo Jail Now Leads Foe in Afghan Campaign
As Marine Corps forces roll into southern Afghanistan, they face an enemy familiar to US officials - Mullah Zakir, a former Guantanamo Bay prisoner who now leads a reconstituted Taliban.
Abdul Qayum Zakir, also known as Abdullah Ghulam Rasoul, is from Helmand Province and has taken a circuitous route to become head of the radical Islamic group.
Zakir was a senior fighter during the Taliban regime in the 1990s. In a memorandum prepared for his administrative review board at Guantanamo, Zakir apparently "felt it would be fine to wage jihad against Americans, Jews, or Israelis if they were invading his country."

5 Iranian officials released by US return to Iran
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - Five Iranian officials who were held in Iraq for more than two years by U.S. forces on suspicion of aiding local Shiite militants returned to Iran Sunday, where the Iranian foreign minister hailed their return as a victory for Iran.
The five diplomats flew to Tehran from Iraq on Sunday and were met at the airport by a cheering crowd of onlookers who carried the men on their shoulders and put garlands of flowers around their necks.
Iran's Foreign Minster Manouchehr Mottaki in a news conference with the men that was carried by Iran's Press-TV minutes after their return welcomed the men back to Iran and praised what he described as their courageous resistance while being held in Iraq by U.S. forces.

S. Korea analyzes computers used in cyberattacks
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - South Korean police are analyzing a sample of the tens of thousands of infected computers used to crash Web sites in South Korea and the U.S., but conceded Sunday they may not lead to the culprit.
South Korean intelligence officials suspect archrival North Korea was involved. South Korea's spy agency told lawmakers last week that a North Korean military research institute had been ordered to destroy the South's communications networks, local media reported.

Just How Much Does That Cost, Anyway? An Analysis of the Financial Costs and Benefits of the "No-Fly" List
The purpose of this article is to identify the financial costs relative to the benefits of the "no-fly”"list. Numerous scholars, security experts, lawyers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), journalists, and bloggers have commented on the well-known flaws in the current terrorist watch list system. Lawyers have pointed out the many civil liberty issues associated with the list and its hindrance of due process. 1 The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has repeatedly published the many flaws it sees in the way that the list is administrated. 2 Bruce Schneier, a popular security columnist and blogger, documents the various reasons why the no-fly list serves no benefit at all, providing only "security theatre" rather than actual protection. 3 Each of these analyses is useful and contributes to an understanding of whether or not the no-fly list is, in aggregate, helpful in protecting citizens against terrorism, and at what social and civil liberty cost.

BlackOak Fanny Pack
One of my favorite things to do is go hiking. Depending on the length of the hike, the terrain being traveled, and what activities may be enjoyed along the way, varying levels of gear or kit need to be carried. Sure, you can carry a backpack and just put in what you need, but sometimes even that is too much. Enter the BlackOak Fanny Pack from BLACKHAWK! Using it by itself or in conjunction with some other gear allows you to tailor your storage needs to the day you have planned.

IMPROVING THE ART OF PEACE KEEPING
Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. President John F. Kennedy
Our country is not the only entity to which we owe our allegiance.
It is also owed to the Source of our lives, to justice and to humanity (family, loved ones and neighbors - a neighbor is anyone who has a need that you are able to meet). Patriotism consists not in just waving the flag, but in striving, doing all we can, that our country shall be right as well as strong. If the country is strong and the citizens are able to live and do well, our enemies will fear to attack us in a frontal assault. That is why we must learn every resource and every tactic that is applicable to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and peaceful communities... And also why we must be ever ready to quickly respond to whomever and whatever threatens the peace and tranquility of our nation or any of it's communities.

Back Pain - The Epidemic
Did you know that each year, more than 65 million Americans experience back pain? 80% of us will suffer from back pain at some point in our lives. ...80%...That's 4 out of every five people! Does that make you a little nervous? It was previously thought that 90% of all back pain resolves on it's own within 4-6 weeks, but now studies are showing that only 20 of people will have no other symptoms within the year. 70-80% of people will have some form of reoccurring symptoms in the year to follow. For 3-4% of the people, back pain will turn into a chronic (long standing) problem. If you talk to the folks around you, you may find that up to a third of them will have had some form of back pain within the last 30 days. Any guesses what the only type of pain that people have more frequently than back pain? It's headache. That's the only one. Not hip pain or knee pain or carpal tunnel pain. So not only do most of us get back pain, but we also get it frequently!
